Announced at the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year, Zenith unveils the Chronomaster Sport Pink, in a limited run of 500 pieces. In the Zenith tradition of raising awareness on breast cancer through special or unique watches, 20 percent of the sales of each timepiece will be donated to the Susan G Komen nonprofit breast cancer foundation.
The Chronomaster Sport Pink represents the first new dial colour for the Chronomaster Sport collection. In a pink sunburst metallic dial, the watch incorporates a one tenth of a second chronograph function, small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock, a 60-second counter at 3 o’clock, and date indication at 4:30. Within the 41mm steel case resides the El Primero 3600 automatic movement, which has 60 hours of power reserve.
The Chronomaster Sport Pink follows the special edition Chronomaster Original Pink that Zenith launched last year in support of the Susan G Komen organisation, and only made available during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. And this June, a unique Chronomaster Original Pink in a 38mm steel case with diamond-set lugs was sold for US$30,480 (about S$41,712) at the Phillips New York Watch Auction: EIGHT, after being given a pre-sale estimate of between US$8,000 and US$16,000. All the sale proceeds went to the Susan G Komen organisation.
