Van Cleef & Arpels has distilled the essence of this season into a new six-piece jewellery collection, Lucky Summer. Built upon elements of the seaside, the collection embodies the picturesque, breezy energy at the height of summer.
Comprising a necklace, a bracelet and a pair of earrings, the Lucky Summer Wave suite features an undulating, rhythmic aesthetic reminiscent of ocean spray, and a supple construction of yellow gold. The maison’s signature design flourishes—beaded gold contours and creased gold with a crinkled effect—adorn the three pieces, along with lapis lazuli, white mother-of-pearl, turquoise, chalcedony, and diamonds. The palette takes inspiration from the ocean’s depths, and the iridescence on the water surface.
Clips, a tradition of Van Cleef & Arpels, make up the other half of the Lucky Summer collection, and take the form of a starfish, sailboat and scallop shell. Crafted from yellow or rose gold—creased, beaded or mirror-polished—they feature lapis lazuli, white mother-of-pearl, grey mother-of-pearl, and red jasper, a material that is making its first appearance in the maison.
