There’s always a bit of banter every year: watch brands will simply just unveil a new dial, a different case size, or maybe just a fresh colour. But this year, Rolex has surprised us all—the big news from Watches & Wonders 2025 is the launch of an entirely new collection: the Land-Dweller.

It’s not often that Rolex introduces something completely new, so this announcement had everyone talking. In just two years, they’ve debuted two fresh models, with the 1908 debuting two years back. True to Rolex’s style, it’s evolution over revolution, with carefully considered upgrades that build on their legacy of precision and craftsmanship. After teasing us with subtle clues, the brand has finally lifted the curtain on its latest release—and we have all the details.

Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller

Innovation is at the core of the new Land Dweller. There is a new bracelet, new dial, a new Dynapulse escapement, and what’s more, a new movement; the Calibre 7135. The Land-Dweller is the result of decades of research and innovation at Rolex, and it really shows the brand’s dedication to the future of modern watchmaking. There are two main models to choose from—the Land-Dweller 36 and the Land-Dweller 40. Each one’s available in a range of finishes: White Rolesor, Everose (with or without diamonds), and platinum (with or without diamonds).

Perpetual 1908 with Settimo Bracelet

Last year, the Perpetual 1908 with its rice-grain sky blue guilloché dial on reference 52506 gave the collection a fresh perspective. This year, it’s the bracelet that’s stealing the spotlight—and rightly so.

The new Settimo bracelet features a distinctive seven-piece link design, crafted in 18 ct yellow gold and created exclusively for the Perpetual 1908. Each link is fully polished, giving the bracelet a brilliant lustre and a graceful drape on the wrist—thanks to its links made up of seven very small, slightly contoured link elements, polished on every surface, it also feels particularly lightweight.  Its vintage-inspired design is a clear nod to classic jewellery craftsmanship. Finishing it off is the concealed folding Crownclasp that’s discreetly hidden.

GMT-Master II with Ceramic Dial and Tiger Eye

The GMT-Master turns 70 this year—and what better way to celebrate than with not one, but two eye-catching new editions.

First up is a bolder, more colourful take on the green-and-black, left-handed GMT-Master II  “Sprite” that debuted back in 2022. While the original Sprite came in steel, this latest version is cased in luxurious white gold—and marks the very first time a GMT-Master has featured a ceramic dial. The high-tech ceramic perfectly mirrors the green segment of the day/night Cerachrom bezel. The black dial of the previous model has also been swapped for a vivid green.

Then there’s the second model. Rolex has reimagined the classic Root Beer with a black-and-brown dial made from “tiger iron”. This striking material is a blend of natural stones—tiger’s eye, red jasper, and hematite, giving the dial a unique, earthy character.

Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 with Red Ombre Dial

Now, here’s a piece to turn heads—the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 makes a bold statement with its stunning new red ombré dial, beautifully framed by a ring of round brilliant-cut diamonds. The rich gradient effect, with its play of light and shadow, is further elevated by sparkling diamond hour markers, adding a touch of drama and depth.

Crafted entirely in 18 ct yellow gold, both the case and the iconic President bracelet gives the classic Datejust feels. Inside, it’s powered by the Calibre 2236—notably the first Rolex movement to feature the innovative Syloxi hairspring, offering precision and reliability in equal measure.

Oyster Perpetual in New Hues

This year, Rolex has given the Oyster Perpetual a fresh splash of colour—and they’re so charming, many have said they’d love to take one home. The new pastel tones come in pistachio, lavender, and beige, each bringing a calming, yet playful twist to the classic design.

The soft lavender matte lacquer dial appears on the Oyster Perpetual 28, while the beige version features on the 36mm model. As for the 41mm, it wears a pistachio dial and also benefits from an updated Oyster case and a slimmer Oysterclasp, giving the watch a more refined and balanced silhouette.

When it comes to movements, the 28mm model is powered by the Calibre 2232, while both the 36mm and 41mm versions run on the Calibre 3230.

Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona in Turquoise Blue Lacquer

Rolex has released some seriously sought-after Daytonas over the past couple of years. This year’s standout is a Daytona with a striking turquoise dial. This is a brighter, more vivid shade. While it’s not entirely new to the Rolex line-up—we first saw a similar hue on an Oyster Perpetual in 2020. Leading the charge is a yellow gold version of the watch, paired with a sporty-yet-luxurious Oysterflex bracelet. It’s finished with a black Cerachrom bezel and that eye-catching turquoise lacquer dial, complete with contrasting black sub-dials.

New Dial for Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller

The Sky-Dweller isn’t one to be left out of the fun. This year, Rolex has given it a vibrant update with a bold green dial paired with a yellow gold case—a combo that’s proven to be a winning formula for the brand in recent years.
