Only Watch began in 2005 as a collaboration between the watch industry and Luc Pettavino, owner of the Monaco Yacht Show and president of the Monegasque Association for Research on Muscular Dystrophies, whose late son Paul was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
This year, the 10th edition of Only Watch is set to take place on 5 November in Geneva, and the biennial charity auction under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco will see 62 one-of-a-kind timepieces created for the occasion auctioned by Christie’s, with no buyer’s premium or commissions applicable. The auction proceeds will go towards research on diseases such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular and genetic conditions through the Only Project.
