Dioriviera Is Back in Malaysia With a Pop-Up at Pavilion KL

Along with a new capsule, featuring two new toile de jouy designs.

Dioriviera has landed in Malaysia once again with a captivating parasol set-up, wrapped in the iconic Dior toile de jouy print in a stunning shade of pink. Following its spectacular resort retail destination pop-up last year at the One&Only Desaru, Dioriviera is bringing the oasis to Pavilion KL this year. Set amid the shopping paradis, this much-anticipated pop-up takes place from 7 June to 21 July, calling for an escapade—securing the latest beach collection or an appointment for the Dior Café.

Dreamed up by Maria Grazia Chuiri, the pop-up is an extension of its annual Dioriviera capsule collection. As the name suggests, Dioriviera is a love letter from the founding couturier Christian Dior, enthusing over his fondness for the south of France. Taking inspiration from the dappled sunlight and the breezy coastline, the main highlight of the collection is the Toile de Jouy Sauvage and the Toile de Jouy Soleil, both reinterpretations of the House’s distinct Toile du Jouy. While the former is presented through wildlife motifs, the latter is adorned with suns and moons that depict the changing of seasons.

In a vibrant palette of aquamarine, coral, lemon yellow and navy, the two designs are smothered across a range of garments and emblems like the Dior Book Tote or the D-Lite, an embroidered version of the classic Lady Dior. For a summer twist, the Lady D-Joy is presented through a new rendition with hand-woven wicker, along with a drawstring inner pouch dressing the Toile de Jouy jacquard. Weaving details can be found throughout the collection, from accessories like the D-Bobby brim hat or the Naughtily-D straw hat with a fringed edge to footwear such as the Granville Espadrille that draws attention to its hand-woven rope sole, oozing with a sense of lightness and breeze.

Be ready to fill your beach basket to its brim with all the ready-to-wear. The latest textile designs are also printed on various styles such as hooded ponchos, flowy silk tops or even dresses in varied lengths. Summer-ready garments like sarongs and swimsuits too, are up for grabs as you frolic on the beach. As for those who prefer a minimal lineup, the nautical stripes design is a perfect selection. With the sailor collar on the back, the striped tops are aptly created for a day out by the sea. Well known for its timelessness, the nautical design is also a versatile and optimal choice for even city dwellers. For the classicists, the capsule also rolls out knits that feature the House’s signature houndstooth. Adorned with gold accented buttons, these creations sit between formal and casual styles, ideal for various occasions, be it a brunch appointment or a prosecco night.
