The 2023 Tony Awards are underway and stars showed up in standout styles that can’t be missed. Despite the ongoing writer’s strike, the awards ceremony, hosted by Ariana DeBose, is taking place at the United Palace in New York City. The evening’s host shined in a metallic Prada gown with deep V neckline featuring sparkly embellishment, plus De Beers jewels.
Jessica Chastain
The best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play nominee arrived in a bright yellow custom Gucci gown with sweetheart-style neckline, pleated skirt and matching regal cape. She accessorized with a jaw-dropping Gucci High Jewelry pendant necklace featuring 35.9 carats of emeralds and diamonds.
Lupita Nyong’o
The Oscar-winner said she felt “honored, humbled, strengthened and energized” to wear a silver breastplate cast and molded from her body by Pakistani artist and fashion designer Misha Japanwala, whose work “is rooted in the rejection and deconstruction of external shame attached to one’s body,” Nyong’o wrote on Instagram.
The actress added, “In her artistic process, she creates a realistic and true record of a person’s body as an act of resistance and celebration, and an insistence on being allowed to exist freely in our bodies.” Nyong’o teamed the breastplate with a sleek black suit and accessorized with De Beers jewels.
Rachel Brosnahan
This polka dot butterfly look was designed by none other than Dua Lipa for her recently released Dua Lipa x Versace collection. The star accessorized with strappy sandals and statement earrings.
Lea Michele
