Just a few weeks ago, Puma regaled fans in the Southeast Asia region with the drop of the Puma Palermo collection. With K-pop girl group IVE at the forefront of its flashy campaign, it was an instant hit for both fans of the sportswear brand as well as the band. Adding another layer to the already impressive cake, the launch also included Puma’s first-ever Southeast Asian pop-up in Bangkok, where STADIO PALERMO was a spot for visitors to immerse themselves in everything la dolce vita.
The shoe style has had a storied legacy at Puma. Debuted in the early 80s, it was a crowd-pleaser amongst the terrace crowds. Terrace shoes, popularised by football fans in the standing areas of the stadium, were a staple for crossing over between sporty and casual flair. Infusing its take on the fashion culture, Puma revives this archival silhouette and injects a heavy dose of fun into it via the cheerful colours you see throughout the collection. Juicy hues of pink, purple, and peach are splashed onto the Palermos, and so are bolder, jewel tones of cobalt blue and deep green.
And for those who made the trek to STADIO PALERMO at Central World Shopping Mall, Bangkok, there’s a bonus that was awaiting them—limited-edition colourways of the Puma Palermo that would be the object of envy for many a sneakerhead. Aside from the impressive array of kicks, the collection is also peppered with everyday staples such as hoodies and tees, as well as shorts and a skirt for bottoms.
