In a Summer State of Mind with Louis Vuitton’s “By The Pool” Collection

Grab that frozen margarita, Louis Vuitton just launched its Summer collection.

Consider this an invitation to a summer getaway: Louis Vuitton is back with a new seasonal “By the Pool” collection. The capsule features an array of goods from ready-to-wear to beach-appropriate bags in all sizes.

Splash across the collection with a vivid palette of Caribbean blue, coral and pink, “By The Pool” is an instant attention-grabber. Swimwear and separates are adorned with lush foliage outlining the scenic coastline. As for the bags and accessories, they are glossed over with signature monogram designs. With a unique watercolour treatment, bringing us a slice of the breezy Mediterranean Sea. The best part? Make it a set with the same prints on much-loved styles such as the OnTheGo, Coussin, and the iconic Neverfull.

Denim has been a huge trend dominating not just the runway but also the streets. Classic silhouettes like the travel-friendly Keepall and CarryAll or even the archival-inspired half moon bag went through a rugged makeover. Wrapped in washed cotton denim with embossed Monogram, there’s a bag for every occasions, from jet-setting to al fresco dinners.

No one does summer like Louis Vuitton. For the capsule collection, the brand is merging new designs with old styles on models like the Neo Bucket and Nano Speedy. These hand-crocheted raffia bags are stamped with a leather tag that takes after the shape of an inflatable pool float. The Capucines bag is reimagined with intricate rattan, and the design infused French basketry and braiding techniques. It’s a nod to the house’s iconic Malle Pique Nique (picnic trunk) from 1892.

A sequel to its Cruise 2024, the Capucines, the summer capsule decks out the Capushell and Twist models in a bedazzled surface. The scale-like waves bear a resemblance to mermaid tails, crafted with hand-embroidered tube beads. For a subtler look, opt for those wrapped in iridescent calfskin. With gradient soft pink or sky blue treatment, it’s calling for a laid-back summer night out, with a frozen margarita in hand on the decks.

It’s not a complete capsule from the heritage fashion house without a range of home items like tableware and collectable goods such as the artisanal Monogram Tiles Surfboard—a collection highlight if you ask us. Structural-wise, the surfboard is made with sturdy fibreglass and dressed in a coral colourway with the latest LV boat signature on the underside. It is a statement piece, to say the least.
