Flowers? For fall? Very groundbreaking.
Celebrating the launch of the Fall 2024 collection, Kate Spade New York rolls out an experiential pop-up at the Central Exchange at The Exchange TRX. Open to the public from 4 Sept to 15 Sept, the American fashion house brings forth the question: “What does joy mean to you?”
Dipped in a calming shade of green—otherwise known as the Kate Spade green—the pop-up lives up to the brand’s whimsical nature. Think posy-themed afternoon party serving popsicles, packed with guests in their best looks. Kate Spade New York is energetic, optimistic, and bold. Wrapped with the brand’s iconic spade-inspired flowers that jazz up not only the venue but also the visitors, various activities are prepared at designated stations: a photo booth experience and a complimentary popsicle upon completion of Q&A, just to name a few.
The centre of the pop-up has the brand’s latest offerings, highlighting the heritage brand code: the Spade Flower Jacquard inspired by the emblematic spade. For those who are uninitiated, the brand has been working closely with the prestigious Italian luxury textile mill Limonta for promising quality. Renowned for its expertise in jacquard fabric production that traces back to 1893, the mill has earned itself a notable seat on the table of luxury fashion. Introducing a premium jacquard fabrication, Kate Spade New York presents the designs through different silhouettes this season. Those who prefer to “bag it all” would love the versatile open tote, available in medium and large sizes. For a casual look, pick between the ‘90s-inspired shoulder bag and the on-the-go flap crossbody.
Let us be the bearer of the good news: the Spade Flower Jacquard handbag in black colourway—adorned with black leather trim—will be available exclusively at the pop-up. And for those who made a purchase, you can also get your hands on a customised beaded phone strap—more reason to shop!
For the cherry on top, Kate Spade New York also tapped prominent actresses Nicola Coughlan, Taraji P Henson, and Marsai Martin, fronting the newly released Fall 2024 brand campaign. These powerhouses on the silver screen come together to unveil not just the relaunch of the signature Spade Flower Jacquard assortment, but also to debut the Global Fund for Women’s Mental Health, dedicated to supporting women across the world with mental health resources, initiated by the fashion house.
