Once every blue moon, all the girlies of the fashion world unite. The stars align, the din of the fashion scape quietens down and we get a glimpse of what’s at the centre of them all—the latest it-bag that they can’t get enough of.
This Spring/Summer season, the bag that’s slung over everyone’s shoulders is the Lady D-Sire from Dior. Revealed at the brand’s SS24 show last September, the Lady D-Sire reinterprets the architectural lines of the Lady Dior bag. The original Lady—known back then as the ChouChou— was born in 1995 and was famously renamed after Princess Diana, who sported the bag on countless occasions.
What distinguishes the Lady D-Sire from its predecessor is its plush silhouette, and a special crinkled leather variation. The almost-crumpled texture on the bag adds a modern ease to the timeless form. Add on the cute charms that spell out ‘Dior’, and you’re set. Beyond its aesthetics, the practical folding handles and the adjustable strap amp up the daily wearability factor of the Lady D-Sire, so it’s no wonder all the fashion mavens have been carrying it everywhere.
Below, take a look at how some of our favourites have been styling their Lady D-Sires.
