The globally acclaimed Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition is set to arrive in Seoul for the first time, bringing with it a spellbinding journey through more than seven decades of haute couture excellence. From 19 April to 13 July 2025, the exhibition will take centre stage at the iconic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, one of South Korea’s most celebrated architectural landmarks.
Following a spectacular international tour that began in Paris and continued in London, Shanghai, New York, Tokyo, and beyond, this latest edition offers a newly imagined experience, curated by Florence Müller and scenographically designed by Shohei Shigematsu. The Seoul chapter promises an immersive exploration of the timeless elegance and visionary creativity of the House of Dior.
The exhibition traces the House’s evolution from Christian Dior’s revolutionary 1947 ‘New Look’ to the modern-day reinterpretations by his successors. Through a captivating display of archival pieces, haute couture gowns, sketches, and personal memorabilia, visitors can witness Dior’s enduring influence on fashion history. Beyond the exquisite fashion, it provides a fresh look into the themes that have defined the brand’s identity—from the founder’s admiration of flowers and gardens to the unmatched craftsmanship at the ateliers as well as its longstanding enchantment with grand balls and lavish soirées.

In a uniquely Korean twist, this edition pays homage to Dior’s special relationship with South Korea. The exhibition features exclusive collaborations with prominent Korean contemporary artists—HyunJoo Kim, Soo Sunny Park, and Zadie Xa—whose installations and artistic visions intertwine with Dior’s heritage. A special highlight is the dedicated Lady Dior space, showcasing reinterpretations of the iconic bag through the lens of Korean creatives. Nine artists contributed to the Dior Lady Art project, while 17 others for Lady Dior As Seen By—a rich tapestry of cultural dialogue and artistic expression.

Another standout feature comes from the House’s deep-rooted connection with fragrance. Dior’s legendary perfumes are brought to life through a sensory-rich display of historic bottles, campaign visuals, and gowns worn by the global ambassadors. This includes Rihanna for J’adore and Natalie Portman for Miss Dior, underscoring the brand’s passion for the art of scent.
Tickets for Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams in Seoul go on sale on 2 April and can be purchased online.
