The 2023 Cannes Film Festival has officially commenced and it’s delivering all the glitz, glam and couture looks we come to expect from the star-studded event. Every May, the French Riviera transforms into a celebration of cinema — and fashion — as renown actors arrive at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.
This year, Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund, actress Brie Larson and The Batman‘s Paul Dano all join the festival’s official jury. Highly anticipated films in the competition include Todd Haynes’s May December starring Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman and Charles Melton and Wes Anderson‘s alien-invasion comedy Asteroid City starring Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Maya Hawke and Tom Hanks.
Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro will be shown out of competition, along with Sam Levinson’s The Idol series with Lily-Rose Depp and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye.
