Bag of the Week is a new series highlighting the latest and currently most hyped luxury bag. This week, we spotlight the LOEWE Featherlight Puzzle.
We’ve seen LOEWE’s classic Puzzle bag, Puzzle Edge, Puzzle tote, and Puzzle bum bag, but it just doesn’t stop there. LOEWE added a new piece to the ever-evolving puzzle of its iconic Puzzle family, introducing the Featherlight Puzzle. Defined by its signature geometric lines and cuboid form, this new iteration is crafted from an innovative featherlight nappa lambskin, making it the lightest and softest Puzzle bag to date.
Its arrival coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Puzzle bag, first unveiled in 2015 as Jonathan Anderson’s debut handbag design for the house. Inspired by the art of paper folding, the original Puzzle explored the technical challenge of deconstructing and reconstructing a cuboid shape — a spirit of innovation that continues to inform the Featherlight Puzzle.
The bag’s newly developed nappa leather is exquisitely supple, delivering a butter-soft hand feel, a graceful slouch, and a delicate sheen that enhances the precision of its signature lines. Thoughtfully refined details include slimmer hardware, a leather luggage tag with a hidden pocket, a removable balloon dice, and sleek metal feet protecting the base. Inside, the bag is fully lined in matching nappa lambskin and finished with a gold LOEWE-engraved plaque.
For Spring Summer 2025, the Featherlight Puzzle is available in Black, Burnt Red, Pecan, and Dark Butter, all with gold hardware, alongside Aquamarine with silver hardware.
Debuted on the Spring Summer 2025 runway at the Château de Vincennes in Paris, the Featherlight Puzzle also features in LOEWE’s Spring Summer 2025 campaign, starring Canadian actress and director Taylor Russell, photographed by David Sims in Catalonia.
