Adidas is no stranger to promoting inclusivity and body positivity and their latest campaign, Empowered in Motion, is doing just that. Led by Southeast Asia, the initiative shines a spotlight on women who push through societal pressures and keep up with their fitness journeys all while embracing their own cultural values.
Many women hold back from going to the gym because they feel self-conscious for all sorts of reasons—whether it’s about how they look, not knowing where to start with workouts, or just feeling overwhelmed by all the equipment. One of the main goals of this campaign is to create a gym environment that feels like a safe space for women, no matter their fitness level or background. To further empower women on their fitness journeys, Adidas drops an Inclusive Training Apparel and the Dropset 3 for women to feel and look good.
In conjunction with the campaign, Adidas is collaborating with local boutique gym CLUBALOHA in Plaza Damas, Sri Hartamas for a month-long women-led strength training community class throughout November 2024. CLUBALOHA is known for their holistic approach to fitness focusing not just on the body but mind and spirit, so it only makes sense why the sportswear brand chose them. The classes are designed to help you build strength through a mix of bodyweight exercises and free weights. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fitness lover, the class is open to all fitness levels. And the best part? It’s a women-only class, so grab your girls for the next sweat sesh.
Adidas is making fitness more inclusive with a new collection of workout gear, and one of the headline pieces is the Own the Run (OT) 3-Stripes Hijab. Designed with soft, breathable fabric, the sports hijab keeps you feeling comfy and cool throughout your workout. Plus, with AEROREADY tech, you’ll continue to stay nice and dry even after breaking a good sweat. The “adjustable fit zeros” give you the perfect balance of freedom and support, letting you move how you want while staying confident.
Of course, no strength workout is complete without the right pair of shoes. A global study by Adidas revealed that seven out of ten people at the gym are wearing the wrong shoes for lifting weights—which is why the sportswear brand created the Dropset 3. These shoes are made for weight-based training and offer all the stability, durability, and grip you need to power through every rep and recover properly afterwards. The HEAT.RDY technology and Geofit construction keep your feet cool and well-supported even during the most intense workouts. The Dropset 3 shoes are known to be the go-to choice for deadlifts and squats amongst seasoned gym-goers, so there’s really no excuse to skip leg day now.
The full range of Adidas’ Inclusive Training Apparel and the new Dropset 3 is available at selected Adidas stores and online.
