Penang Cocktail Week 2024 Returns Bigger and Better

Happening from 1st to 8th September, Penang Cocktail Week 2024 will feature 80 guest bartenders across several cities in Georgetown.

After last year’s immense success, Penang Cocktail Week will be returning in 2024 from 1st to 8th September 2024. The eight-day-long drinks extravaganza will happen at a much larger scale compared to the previous year and features over 80 guest bartenders from 17 cities internationally with over 60 cocktail and bartending events. Think bar takeovers, cocktail parties, hospitality seminars, and more, happening in Georgetown, Penang. There will also be an open forum seminar themed “Bar Banters”, where key industry leaders such as Jay Khan of COA, former best bar in Asia, Guoyi Gan of Jigger & Pony, and more, will share their wisdom on the industry.

As for the bar takeovers and guest shifts happening during Penang Cocktail Week 2024, some notable ones include COA from Hong Kong, The Haflington from Hanoi (Vietnam’s best bar in 2024), Vender from Taipei (Taiwan’s best bar in 2024), Maybe Sammy from Sydney, and more.

The annual PCW bartending showdown will be returning on 4th September, this time sponsored by Ford’s Gin. Penang Cocktail Week 2024 will also see its very first PCW Party Yacht, presented by Jameson, Chivas, and Martell. Activities on the yacht include guest bartending shifts and cocktail parties from the early evening till sunset, themed PCW Sunset Sessions. It’s going to be a party.

All these activities will culminate in the grand finale: the PCW Cocktail Garden, happening on 8th September in collaboration with Hin Bus Depot. As its name suggests, it will be a cocktail extravaganza with multiple bars and brands setting up booths in the event space while you drink the Sunday afternoon away.
