Get ready for a fun-filled month.

As Malaysians, we know not to hold our breath whenever singers announce tour dates, it’s just best to not get our hopes up. But this November, Malaysia will play host to two international artists, including a concert movie screening! Although a definite highlight, the concerts are far from the only thing happening this month to look forward to. This November, expect everything from unique art exhibitions to stunning dance performances.

The House of Lange 

Watch enthusiasts are in for a treat this month. German luxury and prestige watchmaking manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne will be having a special exhibition at The Starhill’s foyer, allowing us all a glimpse of exactly what it takes to design and create world-famous watches. The ephemeral exhibition will include demonstrations by a watchmaker and an engraver, a history wall, oversized watch components, and even interactive holographic displays. The House of Lange is pulling out all the stops for fans of watches in Malaysia.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Movie Screening 

We mentioned how unlikely it is for a global artist to make a stop in Malaysia when they’re on the road touring. Unfortunately, such is the case with pop superstar Taylor Swift who will instead perform in Singapore next year. But don’t fret, Malaysian Swifties, as the famed singer-songwriter has filmed her Eras Tour concert for you to enjoy on the big screens! It may not be the same as seeing the blonde bombshell in person but partying to her music with other Swifties in the cinema is the next best thing.

Joji: Pandemonium World Tour 

Missed out on seeing Japanese singer-songwriter Joji live in Malaysia at Peakstorm Festival earlier this year? If you’re dying to catch a glimpse of him, you’re in luck because this November, the multi-talented lo-fi singer is returning to Malaysia. Kicking off his Pandemonium World Tour to support his 2022 album Smithereens, we can only assume that Joji’s concert will be so explosive that it blows Merdeka Hall into, well, smithereens.

Here’s another exciting concert by an international artist this November and it’s d4vd’s (pronounced David) Petals to Thorns Tour. Memories x Les Sylphides

We Malaysians are famously possessive of our national treasures. Our traditional clothing, like the elegant kebaya, is definitely among them. Known as the national attire of Indonesia, women in Malaysia have also traditionally worn the kebaya for centuries. This month, The Secrets of Kebaya exhibition is being held at the National Textile Museum to honour the story of the kebaya through five different segments, from the garment’s interesting history to its evolution into modern society.
