Lana Del Rey was spotted on a romantic date night with her new husband, Louisiana alligator tour operator Jeremy Dufrene, just days after they got married. While the September 26 wedding came as a surprise to the world—it appears the “Summertime Sadness” singer started a romantic relationship with Dufrene only a month prior—Del Rey had actually posted a picture of Dufrene in March 2019.
“Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x,” the Grammy winner captioned a photo of the now-couple on one of his boats. There has not been a sighting of Dufrene until August 2024 when the pair were spotted holding hands at the Reading and Leeds festival in Wetherby, England. She was wearing a ring on her engagement finger, but no fiancé was confirmed.
Cut to a month later and Del Rey’s father is walking his daughter down the aisle in Des Allemands, Louisiana, right in front of the public bayou where Dufrene operates his swamp boat tours.
“This is where they first met. It’s a special place for them,” a source told People of the wedding. “It was a beautiful, relaxed and family-focused wedding. The focus was just on their love story.”
The bride’s wedding dress—a white lace gown with a ruffled bodice—was thrifted from a vintage market called Trashy Diva in New Orleans and is believed to have cost a few hundred dollars.
