After months of rumours, we finally have solid confirmation that Hyatt Centric City Centre KL will be opening in the fourth quarter of 2024. Located along Jalan Sultan Ismail, the lifestyle hotel is right smack in the city centre, close to the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower. This duality offers guests the option of a city-focused or nature-focused itinerary, as it is within walking distance of the KL Eko-Rimba Park.
At 21-storeys high, this luxury hotel is the first Hyatt Centric in Peninsula Malaysia and the second one overall in Malaysia, with the first being in Kota Kinabalu. There are a total of 312 rooms, three dining outlets, and communal spaces that perfectly merge the natural and urban jungle of Kuala Lumpur. The three dining outlets are IL Forno, taking on the Italian trattoria concept with fresh handmade pastas and pizzas; TanBury, a casual dining outlet serving authentic Tandoori dishes, but in a donburi (rice bowl) style; and @21, a rooftop pool bar and lounge serving signature drinks with a local panache.
“We wanted to do something different and take what we love most in Kuala Lumpur and share them with our guests in a fun, more engaging way,” said Chikako Shimizu, Hyatt Centric City Centre KL General Manager. “Our hotel will offer our guests everything they need to relax and recharge before they head out to explore the city. We want them to feel comfortable experiencing what it’s like to be a local in this city and ignite a sense of curiosity to visit places not usually listed on tourist maps.”
