This week may feel like the mess after a huge party, but don’t rush to bust out the cleaning supplies.

Horoscopes March 31-April 6

With eclipse season behind us, recalibrating will feel like a top priority this week. Like getting stuck into a big tidy up the morning after you’ve had a huge party, the energy could feel both overwhelming and urgent. There may be sore heads, an unexplained mess and even a little bit of anxiety.

But as much as you might be desperate to whip out the garbage bag and start cleaning, it might be a bit too soon to truly get on top of the mess. Eclipses often deliver a few parting gifts after the fact, which will likely land this week. Adding to the “can’t-get-anything-done-if-you-tried” feel, Mercury and Venus are also still retrograde. That means communications and social dynamics are still a bit off-kilter.

Then there’s Neptune. Not usually a major player in day-to-day proceedings, but this week, the planet of ambiguity, surrender, escapism and creativity shifts signs for the first time since 2012. Pretty major. Even if the change doesn’t show up on your doorstep, you probably can’t help but notice the stranger-than-fiction feel to news headlines this week.

TLDR: Don’t panic about progress. Park your to-do list and make this week a time for “impact assessment” rather than initiation or results.

ARIES AND ARIES RISING

Be alert but not alarmed this week as you move through the aftermath of the eclipses. For some rams (especially those who have recently had a birthday), you’ll also feel the smoke machine haze of Neptune moving into your home sign. It could feel like you have something obstructing your vision as you struggle to make sense of what’s right in front of you. It could feel like you can’t quite find the words to explain what’s gone on. But there’s no rush in taking any action (as much as you might like to). Try to use this week for stillness, and be OK with floating in the void. There is more data—and feelings—to be revealed. Watch this space.

TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING

There are shifts afoot as the aftershocks of the eclipse continue to rearrange the furniture— figuratively speaking. With Neptune also changing signs, there’s something awe-inspiring… but opaque to the mood. If you’re sweating on certainty, save yourself the heartache and make peace with the fact that you won’t get it this week. There is still way too much topsy-turvy going on. What is good to know is that this, like all astrology, is a season, and it too will pass.

Don’t sweat the small stuff, and surrender to what’s right in front of you. Maybe things really are just that simple.

GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING

What are those people over there doing? What on earth are they thinking? The ones acting erratic or out of character, flighty or just plain cranky. Chances are you know just who we’re talking about. It’s hard to know what’s motivating them right now (thank Neptune). As hard as you try to get inside their head, it’s an impossible feat this week. But ambiguity is your middle name, so at least you can take it all in your stride.

With the bulk of your drama taking place within your social sphere, this is not the week to give your flakiest friend a vital job in your wedding. The rings will 100% get lost. Avoid the palaver by holding on (or taking) control of anything that’s important—simple.

 CANCER AND CANCER RISING

A lot is going on right now, and especially if you’re Cancer rising, work is probably looking cloudy with a chance of “WTF. That’s ok. Just like moving house, there is always a period of craziness while you find a new spot for everything. Right now, the planets are doing the same thing. Neptune, the planet that rules dreams, intuition, and forgiveness, has been shifting signs for the first time since 2012. It’s a lot. But you can handle it. You’ve weathered much worse.

The thing to keep in mind is that things are not meant to be black and white right now. The sooner you make peace with that, the sooner you’ll be getting a solid eight hours of sleep back again.

LEO AND LEO RISING

Change and ambiguity continue to challenge your world view. You may be desperate to jump to conclusions after the past few weeks’ proceedings. Maybe you’ve even had a change of heart? But there’s still more you need to hear/see/learn before you lock in your next steps. This week is one to chalk up to reflection rather than action. Neptune—the great creative of the solar system— moves into Aries, which is like someone changing the playlist after it’s been stuck on the same tracks for 13 years (literally). It’s going to feel jarring but not necessarily bad.

Stop, look and listen. Notice how the shifts are impacting you and take notes. The insights will come in handy when it does come time to act.

VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING

Your ruling planet, Mercury, enters its last week on “rewind”. That means you’ll be starting to ponder issues or conversations from early March. It’s a weird, nebulous time where moving sideways or floating off into space feels easier than doing anything linear. That’s not an easy thing for a Virgo, but still, you persist. Stuff won’t be finished; decisions will remain inconclusive. How you feel about whatever has been weighing heavily on your mind—how you share your resources (physical, financial, spiritual)—is all still very much up for consideration. Don’t rush your “yes”.

You’ll know when it’s time to act, but it’s not this week.

LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING

With the eclipses done, you’d be forgiven for thinking the crazy changes are behind you, but it’s all still very much a moveable feast this week. And with Neptune changing signs for the first time since 2012, the changes are not to be sniffed at. Your nearest and dearest will likely feel the force of Neptune’s confusing effects the most. You just need to stand by and dig into that famous Libra patience to support them when they turn and say, “Halp!”

Expect them to struggle with decisiveness, and be kind when they tell you—possibly in quite a tizz —that they have no idea how they feel or what they should do next.

SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING

It’s all about the reframe this week as Neptune in Aries adds to the existing drama in your everyday routines. It could feel chaotic, unsettling or just plain confusing. If you’ve somehow escaped any crossed wires during Mercury and Venus retrograde, expect the hiccups to finally catch up with you this week. Appointments could drop out of your calendar, files could be lost, and meeting requests could be misplaced. And that’s ok…so long as you’re not expecting to retain complete control at all times. Expect some speedbumps, and you can brace yourself in advance. What do you need to get comfortable with things not going to plan? The answer may surprise you.

SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING

Creatively, you’re on fire this week as Neptune, the planet that inspires, transcends and forgives, moves into your artistic sphere. This is awesome weather for writing that sophomore record or making headway on your novel. Not so amazing if you were hoping to knuckle down and sort out your junk drawer or take old clothes to the thrift store. Your attention span will be extra short. Your tolerance is low. Your interest in collaborating, compromising and thinking strategically is also a little ho-hum. Set yourself up for success by focusing on things that don’t require others. Stay in your own lane. You do you; by the time the week is done, you’ll be so glad you did.

CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING

There are a lot of things that could feel imminent or like they need your attention this very second. But they’re also maybe not the things you need to start. Sit on your hands. Find yourself a Sudoku. Get a good crossword app. Just bring your mind back to what’s in front of you right now and what absolutely cannot wait until next week. You don’t need to solve the world’s problems (ever, but especially not this week). There’s just too much still floating in a sea of ambiguity. So knuckle down and do solitary things, things you are good at. Do the stuff that gives you the illusion of being in control. Because really, that’s all being in control ever is—an illusion.

AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING

You’ve been waiting to see how the chips land before you move on something. The anticipation may be almost too much to bear. Maybe it’s something to do with your business, a side hustle or even something to do with extended family. After last weekend, you probably feel like you now know (finally) what comes next. But the truth is, you are still very much in the dark. There’s more to come: more intel and data. And for better or worse, more big feelings to review. Whether you have connected the dots yet or not, you can’t do one without the other. So this week, concentrate on the small pockets of your schedule that you influence.

PISCES AND PISCES RISING

It’s a massive week for fishes as one of your ruling planets up and leaves your home sign. Beauty, creativity, surrender, spirituality—it’s all been a huge influence over something significant in your life the past 13-ish years, whether you’re aware of it or not. This week, Neptune moves on, like a flatmate that’s been part of your shared house so long you basically thought they came with the lease. So how does the house function without the energy of someone who forms a crucial part of the household identity? It’s going to feel weird. Of course, life goes on, but it’s different, and you may feel like it is missing. The trick is to remind yourself that the vibe was not something you could hold onto or own.

This is a new era that could inspire independence and grit that you never knew you had.
