Continuing the rite of passage of newfound singledom—the first being displaying your breakup style during a chic stroll through Manhattan—Zoë Kravitz has enjoyed her first girl’s night out in New York following her breakup from Channing Tatum.
The actors quietly called it quits in October 2024 after three years together, one of which was spent engaged. While the Magic Mike star has been spotted looking reportedly “downcast” and smoking cigarettes during his first sighting since the split, Kravitz spent her weekend with the cast of Saturday Night Live at an exclusive after-party.
Hosted at the French restaurant, L’Avenue at Saks, Kravitz was said to be spending an evening with Natasha Lyonne, who previously directed an episode of the television reboot High Fidelity. Emma Stone, John Mulaney and Olivia Munn were also said to be in attendance.
The Big Little Lies actress didn’t waste any time lamenting over the breakup during Halloween weekend, either. Despite the couple announcing their engagement at Kendall Jenner’s annual Halloween party in 2023 when Kravitz showcased her emerald-cut engagement ring from underneath her Rosemary’s Baby costume, the 35-year-old didn’t show any signs of upset over the milestone.
“She was in a good mood and seemed really happy,” a source said of Kravitz’s appearance at the Princess Diana-themed event. They added that Kravitz was “dancing all night and having cocktails”.
Kravitz and Tatum connected during production for her directorial debut, Blink Twice.
The former couple seemed in love during the press tour for the comedy thriller, but an insider revealed their romance “fizzled out” soon after it wrapped. “[Zoë] and Channing are opposites, but they always bonded over their love for art and film, and that is what held them together,” they added.
It’s reported that Kravitz and Tatum are still “in touch” and that there’s no “bad blood” between them. On the latter, considering Kravitz’s close friendship with Taylor Swift, one might wonder if she’ll make an appearance at the songstress’ highly-publicised girl’s dinners once she wraps the Eras Tour. We’ll remember it, all too well.
