The Vanity Fair Oscars Party always brings out the biggest names in the industry. The whole movie-making community comes out to toast the newly-crowned Academy Award winners — and they always chose the most daring looks. Many go high-glam with gorgeous gowns and classic tuxedos, but others push the envelope and put a whole new spin to the term “head-turning.” This year on the 2023 Oscars afterparty circuit, stars like Naomi Campbell, Hunter Schafer and Adwoa Aboah weren’t afraid to dare to bare in their inventive bra tops. Some went sheer like Emily Ratajkowski and Daisy Edgar-Jones while others stepped out in their most daring looks yet (we’re looking at you, Olivia Wilde). See every can’t-miss outfit, below.
Olivia Wilde
In one of her most shocking looks to date, the actress wowed in a Gabriela Hearst white one-shoulder gown with a draped effect that exposed her black peek-a-boo leather bra.
Hunter Schafer
In a look straight off the Paris runway, the Euphoria star bared it all with her outfit designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin for his first collection as the new creative director of Ann Demeulemeester. The look featured nothing but a single white feather covering part of her breasts, teamed with a low-rise maxi skirt, just as it appeared on the runway last week.
Emily Ratajkowski
The model’s sheer long-sleeve dress that extended into fingerless gloves had a high-shine finish and see-through effect, exposing her beige underwear underneath.
Naomi Campbell
In another inventive bra top situation, Campbell looked regal in a Schiaparelli Haute Couture dress from the Spring/Summer 2023 collection by Daniel Roseberry. The gown was covered in leather metal sequins and had an illusion strap neckline, which she paired with Briony Raymond Estate necklaces.
Tessa Thompson
Thompson’s black double-breasted off-the-shoulder Moschino gown featured red rosettes as a bralette.
Adwoa Aboah
You can say unusual bras were the top trend of the evening. The model chose a sleek LOEWE crepe dress with anthurium flowers covering both breasts.
Daisy Edgar-Jones
The actress went with a shocking completely sheer look in her column sleeveless dress covered in rows of crystals creating a cage-like effect. She teamed it all with a Vacheron Constantin watch and De Beers jewelry.
Ciara
Another sheer, caged look came courtesy of Ciara, in her black halter crystal cross-hatch gown by Dundas with a plunging cowl neckline.
