Hailey Bieber is pregnant! The model-turned-beauty mogul, clearly inspired by her musician husband Justin Bieber’s first-ever single “Baby”, announced the joyous news to her 51.5 million Instagram followers by sharing a sweet carousel of her growing bump.
Given the fervour around the Bieber’s 2019 wedding in South Carolina—an occasion that saw Mrs. Bieber don a one-of-one Virgil Abloh-designed Off-White wedding dress—the couple chose to use their recent vow renewal ceremony in Hawai’i as an impromptu maternity shoot.
In the vein of Bianca Jagger, another YSL muse, Bieber shared images of herself wearing a bump-clinging custom off-the-shoulder lace Saint Laurent gown designed by Anthony Vaccarello. The Rhode Beauty founder also wore a lace veil, which she wrapped around her ultra-glazed complexion like a scarf and her Tiffany & Co. wedding band.
Neither of the couple posted an accompanying caption to their posts, save from tagging each other. In letting the Super Eight video and film photographs do all the talking, the pair let their love shine through. Whether their captions lacked, their comments section made up for an absence of words with their high-profile friends issuing their well wishes.
Kendall Jenner, Bieber’s best friend wrote “I love you guys!!!! ahhhhhhhh”, while Bella Hadid simply added, “chillieee williessss I love you soooo much!!!!”. Vaccarello, Kim Kardashian and Sofia Richie Grainge also shared their support for the couple.
Bieber’s confirmation of her pregnancy comes after much speculation and rumours. In 2022, Bieber opened up to the Wall Street Journals about her road—or should we say, Rhode—to motherhood. The 27-year-old revealed that she anticipated falling pregnant very early in life, but that image evolved as she grew up and developed her skincare line. “There’s this thing that happens for women when you get married. Everybody always assumes it’s: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby,” she said before adding, “Well, what about all the things I want to accomplish in my business?”
The star also divulged her trepidation about raising a child in the spotlight in 2023, saying: “I literally cry about this all the time. I want kids so bad but I get scared.” “It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child,” she added, “We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.”
Bieber is reportedly six months along. There is no news about her due date or the gender of the bub. Nevertheless, congratulations are indeed in order for the pair. We can’t wait for them to welcome Baby Bieber to the world!
