First revealed at the Fall/Winter 2023 Ready-to-Wear runway last July, Dior is welcoming a new icon this season: The Lady 95.22. In an ode to the past and present —and in celebration of its unique heritage and modern allure —the French fashion masion has reinvented the lines of the original Lady Dior.

In a unique campaign, the House Dior has invited different exceptional women to front the Lady 95.22 release. At present, it is 20-year-old British tennis player Emma Raducanu. Driven by a deep spirit of independence, one dear to Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Dior fashion and beauty ambassador carries the iconic leather bag dressed in the latte shade. (Editor’s note: the bag is also available in black.)

Presented in three elegant and wearable sizes —small, medium and extra large —it features precious ruthenium or pale gold finishes. In keeping with the heritage of the Lady Dior, each bag boasts Dior lucky charms at the base of the handle evoking Monsieur Dior’s grigris.

You may remember the first chapter of the Lady 95.22 notably welcomed feminist author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as the face of the bag campaign. She is best known for coining the term “We Should All Be Feminists” which inspired the T-Shirts in Ms. Chiuri’s debut show for Dior in 2016. Presented in black-and-white photographs and photographed by Brigitte Lacombe, these women all represent the timelessness, allure and versatility of this unique top-handle silhouette.
