Cardi B and Offset quietly welcomed their third child last week, with the Grammy Award-winning rapper revealing the news of their daughter’s arrival to her 165 million Instagram followers overnight. Taking to social media on September 13, the 31-year-old shared a carousel of images from her labour experience, including posed photos of her with the newborn in hospital and images of her breastfeeding.
Cardi B also sweetly shared a family picture of her ex-husband Offset and their older children, Kulture, 6, and Wave, 3, meeting the baby for the first time. The Invasion of Privacy singer captioned the post “The prettiest lil thing” while confirming her date of birth.
Cardi B revealed her pregnancy to the world in a bittersweet post on August 2 after news broke that she had filed for divorce only hours earlier. Posing in a plunging red satin gown against the New York skyline, Cardi B cradled her bump while declaring the bub was her “new beginning”.
“It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and tests laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!” she wrote, addressing the yet-to-be-born little one.
At the time, a source speaking to Page Six revealed that Cardi B and Offset had “grown apart”, citing their distance as the thing that “drove her to this decision more than anything else”. The insider claimed that “this is something she wants to do.”
The musician took to X immediately after confirming the news of her latest addition to guarantee fans that new music will be imminently released. “Now is crunch time 💿 on my kids,” she tweeted. The Bronx native hasn’t shied away from work during her third pregnancy with her schedule crowded with Marc Jacobs campaigns, taking a babymoon to France and sitting front row at fashion shows.
