In sad news, the youngest stars of the hit Netflix series, Love Is Blind, Habibi, Dounia Al Ibrahim and Chafic Yactine, have officially announced they have parted ways.
After months of addressing speculation and rumours about their relationship, Dounia and Chafic seemed to have reached their final decision.
Taking to their respective Instagram accounts, the stars posted a similar message on their Stories to their fans and supporters.
“Today, we want to announce the end of our love story together,” Dounia’s message began. “As we always say, we plan but God decides.”
Dounia further delved into their relationship, still holding on to the memories, she added, “Chafic will forever remain a special person in my heart, and we thank you for supporting [us as a] couple and for the memories we’ve created together.”
The star admitted that this next phase of their life will be a challenge and asked their fans to respect their decision. “We ask you to please respect our decision and understand that this isn’t the easiest period for us to go through,” she wrote, before adding, “But when God decides, we cannot do anything about it.”
Showing their mutual respect and decision on the split, she ended the message saying: “We will continue to spread love separately forever.”
The couple had been romantically linked for over a year, as they decided to be in a relationship post-filming Love Is Blind, Habibi. Fans had been rooting on their blossoming love story, which eventually led to their engagement last year on November 12, 2024.
However, merely just five months after their reported engagement, speculation about their split began, as fans noticed less interaction, with many joint posts being deleted.
As of now, the pair still follow each other on Instagram, but fans have noticed that Dounia have already deleted their shared content.
