There’s more resolution within reach this week, although the method may feel a little more clumsy than you’d choose. We FINALLY bid farewell to Mars in Cancer, a transit that’s been delivering an undertone of passive-aggressive saltiness on and off since early September 2024. This week’s tender spots echo a conversation, theme, or issue from late last year that first reared its head around mid-November (the 14th, to be precise) and then again towards the end of the year (the 28th).
This time, you’re likely to get the resolution this situation has so desperately needed, but with Pluto in the mix, it could be a pretty intense turn of events. If you are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius rising, the reckoning will be hard to miss. For the rest of us, it will be a matter of steering clear of the collateral damage.
Sometimes what’s necessary isn’t pleasant at the time, but in hindsight, you’ll be glad what’s done is done.
ARIES AND ARIES RISING
You’re used to sparks flying—but this week things feel especially spicy, even by your standards. An issue that’s been simmering since November makes a dramatic comeback. This iteration will not be easy to ignore. For single Aries, a no-strings-attached arrangement could get messy. If you’ve been given the run around or felt frustrated by a lack of clarity, this could be the week you reach the end of your tether. For other rams, the clash could come around how you choose to let off steam. The tension that has been boiling over needs to be released. Rip the band-aid off and trust that what doesn’t come with you was not meant to stay long term.
TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING
A sore point at home, either with your housemate (partners included) or even something connected to your parents, could finally reach a boiling point this week. An issue that’s flared and settled twice already, once in November and again in late December, gets heated once more. This week, it’s time to have it out, once and for all. It feels intense but cathartic at the same time. As much as you like things to stay chill, sometimes conflict is the only way to move through a big issue. This is one of those times. Trust the process.
GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING
Got something you want to get off your chest? Even the most diplomatic Geminis will feel the pressure to just get it out this week. As Mars and Pluto face off, the tug of war on an issue that’s been brewing since last year will reach a turning point. Of course, turning points aren’t always smooth sailing, and this one has the potential to be particularly explosive. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Just be aware that when you enter the situation ready to share feedback, it may not land as intended. If you’re not prepared to deal with the fallout, maybe sleep on it before you go in guns blazing.
CANCER AND CANCER RISING
Whether you’re prepared to go there or not, it’s all about cash this week. Since November, an issue or dynamic related to spending, saving, and self-worth has been brewing. This week, the cup runneth over, and not in a graceful romantic kinda way. It’s the card declining, the late fee or the fine you didn’t see coming that ticks things off. When it does, try to remember it’s less about the actual thing and more about what it represents. You’re being invited to blow something up here, and that might feel scary in the moment; ultimately, you’ll be able to move forward lighter and freer, but first, you need to deal with it head-on.
LEO AND LEO RISING
Things could feel extremely loud and incredibly close this week as Mars makes a very dramatic arrival into your home sign. It’s a familiar return to an issue or conflict that flared up in both November and December last year. This week, it reappears for round three. What’s interesting about this time is that Pluto offers some extra ammunition, ensuring that whatever needs to be said is said. It could feel confronting, overwhelming or shocking, but however it unfolds, know that it is a conversation that needs to be had. The method may not be of your choosing, but the resulting catharsis will be something future you will be OK with.
VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING
You’ve kept things nice, rationalised, maybe even tried to spiritually bypass an uncomfortable issue. This week, there’s no way around it. Mars makes its way into Leo, and it is pressing your buttons in ways you didn’t know possible. You’re angry and there’s no way to hide it. Perhaps you thought this issue, which was already in play in November and December last year, had been resolved, or maybe you thought you had moved past it. You’re not. And that’s ok. But now is not the time to try to turn away. Face the feeling head-on and let things unfold as they may. Sometimes, a total do-over is the only way to start again.
LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING
The group chat is blowing up this week, and not in a particularly positive way. As Mars and Pluto face off, the sky could trigger some very heated exchanges. If you’re not in the mood to get into it with Rebecca, now’s the time to mute notifications. But be warned, even strategic silence has the potential to cop some powerful criticism. You may not be at the centre of the drama, but you’ll be privy to it, nonetheless. It’s a lot for your delightfully diplomatic nervous system to handle. Soothe and ground yourself accordingly, and remember this too shall pass.
SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING
Is the air con working, because it is suddenly feeling extremely hot in your office? All signs point to “heated” with a side of “showdown” this week as Mars and Pluto bring tensions to a head. Whatever work dramas have been bubbling away since November/December last year, you can count on them getting real this week. This is not the time to provide granular feedback for a better work culture in the all-staff survey. It will only take a few small sparks for the whole place to go up in smoke. ‘Your own lane’ and ‘low profile’ never looked so good.
SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING
There are the things you thought you knew, and then there’s what you actually know to be true. This week, there could be a little bit of discord between the two. With Pluto and Mars getting into it in the realm of communication, learning and what you stand for, you could find yourself being challenged on a philosophical level. As your communication style comes under the microscope, the gravity of some seemingly ordinary conflicts could have much larger consequences.
CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING
No one likes an unabridged epic like a Capricorn, but even by your standards, this Mars retrograde (and its associated shadow periods) has dragged on for way too long. This week, you’re almost free of the funk, but not without first dealing with some major confrontation. This one, potentially related to money or big, serious investments (of the energetic, physical or financial kind) has been floating in the ether since late last year. But this time, there’s no neat side-step around the issue. Keep a cool head and try to remain pragmatic – even if the person you’re dealing with isn’t doing the same. Sometimes these things do need to be said before you can move on.
AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING
If you’ve been tiptoeing around your other half, a close friend or someone in your family, things could get serious this week. No matter how much you bite your tongue or try to avoid a confrontation, there isn’t a way around it. As Mars retraces its steps from late last year, emboldened with a macho kind of swagger (thanks to its current placement in Leo), staying detached will be near impossible (even for an Aquarius—the zodiac’s master of detachment). It will be intense, but at least once the air is cleared, you can move on—or move on out.
PISCES AND PISCES RISING
Got an axe to grind? If you feel stretched to breaking point, put upon, tapped out or just completely unappreciated, this is the week you might finally snap. You could be triggered by another ‘this-could-have-been-an-email’ meeting invite lands, or one more presumptuous request for you to lend a hand (you are a Pisces after all). Whatever the catalyst, your response may be slightly out of sync with the magnitude of the situation. But it’s not really just about the situation. You know that, and chances are the person on the receiving end knows it too. There’s much more going on. And if it takes a crazy “can you just do this one thing?,” request, to bring something to a head that needed to be said, maybe (at least in hindsight) it could be a blessing in disguise.
