Vittoria Ceretti is no stranger to the spotlight, constantly jetting around the world to dominate global fashion weeks, but one thing she would happily leave behind? Being defined by the man beside her. In a candid interview with Vogue France, the Italian-born supermodel set the record straight on her romance with Hollywood’s perennial bachelor, Leonardo DiCaprio.
“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone more famous, you become ‘so-and-so’s girlfriend’ or ‘so-and-so’s ex,’” she revealed, addressing the relentless tabloid fixation on her love life. “It’s extremely annoying.”
DiCaprio, 50, has long been one of the world’s most sought-after leading men, but for Ceretti, 26—a model who has been the face of campaigns for Chanel, Fendi, and more—being reduced to a plus-one is not the career setback she saw coming.
“It’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want because of the labels people need to stick on you,” she added.
Yet, despite the noise, Ceretti remains steadfast in her relationship. “If you know you love each other, then there’s no reason to be alarmed,” she explained. “Because love protects and gives confidence.”

First spotted together at Cannes in May 2023, the duo has since been seen spending time together all around the world, from Ibiza to New York, indulging in dates and holidays. Though they seem serious about each other—and Ceretti has even teased an engagement-ring-like piece of jewellery—insiders have insisted DiCaprio “doesn’t see himself ever getting married.”
The couple reportedly met in Milan, though Ceretti shied away from going into further details. What she did admit to, though, was holding a soft spot for her boyfriend’s breakout hit, Titanic.
“Who hasn’t seen it? Or didn’t like it?” she joked. “It’s an iconic film.”
