Do you know the feeling of being in a hurry to get somewhere? Maybe you took a
wrong turn, or maybe you just chose the wrong route, but for whatever reason, you hit traffic. You’re going nowhere. The clock is ticking. Maybe whoever you’re rushing to meet is texting, “Where are you? How far away do you think you’ll be?” You could lie and guess a time, but the truth is you don’t really know when you’ll get there.
That feeling of uncertainty, frustration, and delay is the vibe this week. We are mid-cycle for the eclipses, Venus retrograde, and Mercury retrograde. The Equinox (Thursday GMT, Friday AEST) is traditionally a time to hit reset, but it feels like a cracker that never quite ignited.
Energetically, we’ve committed to the road we’re on. But that’s not to say we don’t have second thoughts about our life choices. This season of rethinking, reconsidering, maybe even reneging, is the space that we are in. Expect uncertainty. Expect a little confusion (as Neptune glides through its very final degrees in Pisces), and you will be well prepared. It’s ok not to have all the answers. Some weeks are for launching, leaping and being seen. Some weeks are for staying in sweats and eating cereal for dinner. This week most definitely falls into the latter category.
ARIES AND ARIES RISING
Your all-access ticket to the Big Crazy Energy continues this week as your home season arrives with a bang. Wedged between two eclipses and two retrogrades, it’s delivering plenty of drama but not quite the flavour you’d order by choice. Uncertainty rules as Neptune’s influence brings a hazy shade of “where even am I?” to proceedings. Your challenge is to see whether you can cope just hanging out in the void rather than militantly charging ahead.
TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING
If you’re struggling to get out of second gear, don’t beat yourself up. All signs point to just chilling, with a slew of planets triggering a major dip in energy for your sign. As Venus continues to shuffle backward, even the most outgoing Taureans are feeling a little more low-key than usual. Cancel plans, order in and let yourself tune out with trash TV and even trashier snacks. Guilt is not on the menu this week. Lean into the vibe and enjoy this week for what it is—pure goblin mode.
GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING
There’s the potential for a burst of creativity in the first half of this week. Imagination, brainstorms and blue-sky thinking will be at their very best as Neptune and the Sun work together. If you have the chance to carve out time, especially at work, it’s a wave of artistic genius worth catching. Lock yourself in a meeting room with Sharpies and paper and get amongst it. But before you get too carried away, don’t go any further. Now is not the time to pitch that dream. Just get it all on paper and give yourself space to ponder what might come next.
CANCER AND CANCER RISING
When nothing is as it seems, and the world is in a flurry, sometimes you need to step away. That’s definitely a vibe this week as the crazy ramps up a notch for crabs. With drama dialed up— particularly at work—getting on with the job may seem almost impossible. Clear-cut decisions may be suddenly overturned. Strategies torn up. Forward plans thrown out. When the things that rely on others are too hard, focus on you. Stay in your lane. Tidy your desk. Take control of your inbox. Colour code stuff. Just do you—quietly and calmly—and remember that this too shall pass.
LEO AND LEO RISING
There’s a lack of visibility about this week that could feel a little unnerving for Leos. But look beyond the crossed wires and delayed flights (of which there will be plenty of both) and there is something to look forward to about this astro weather. With the Sun and Neptune making their final parlay together in Pisces, your creative juices are at an all-time high. Collaborative projects could be particularly juicy. Your only hurdle? Throwing caution to the wind and letting yourself truly surrender to the process. Remember, you’ll only be as good as you are vulnerable. Difficult? Yes. Rewarding? Absolutely.
VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING
In the wake of last week’s eclipse, there’s every possibility you’re feeling a little off balance. Saturn and Mercury retrograde have you questioning, well, literally everything. Even deciding between oat and almond milk for your flat white may be too much to bear this week. For someone who lives for rules, data and common sense, that’s not an easy position to be in. But that’s ok. Sometimes, things just can’t be solved with a spreadsheet and a (quelle horreur!) label maker. Dare to take your foot off the accelerator and let go of the wheel. The answer will materialise when you allow yourself to feel rather than rationalise.
LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING
Your best supporting actor turn continues this week as the Equinox ushers in an even greater focus on your most important relationships. This particular sphere of your life has been getting a pummelling from both Venus and Mercury retrograde, and now, even the most avoidant Librans will have no choice but to face whatever it is that is happening to a VIP in your life (remembering they may be platonic, a business partner or even a close family member). You don’t have to know how to fix whatever it is they’re facing, but you do need to be there for them right now. Put your own stuff to one side and just listen. It will mean more than you know.
SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING
If you only do one thing this week, trust your intuition. The Sun and Neptune join forces in the first half of the week, delivering a lightning bolt of creativity—the final gift of the Pisces season. Put your self-doubt aside and let your instinct guide you towards whatever is tugging at the edge of your subconscious. Pay attention to your dreams, meditate, chant or do whatever you need to do to get out of your head and into a deeper state of consciousness. Even the slightest glimmer of an idea could be the start of something epic.
SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING
Good enough is good enough. That’s the motto of the moment as you muddle through what is shaping up to be a seriously messy few weeks. While you may not be on the firing line of really hectic astrology, you could most definitely get caught in the crosshairs. Trust the flash of inspiration that breaks through before the middle of the week, a parting gift of Neptune in Pisces. As the pressure subsides around things at home, the desire to cut loose will be major. But hold off on ordering that Negroni. Thirsty though you may be, it’s not quite the right time to let your hair down… yet. Hold steady; your time will come.
CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING
Nothing evokes a Capricorn flex quite like other people’s freakouts. From this perspective, it could be a very good week for you to strut your stuff. Even if you’re not feeling the effects of all the intense astro-weather, you’ll most definitely be privy to some others who aren’t exactly taking it in their stride. Now is the time to showcase that “Keep Calm and Carry On” muscle. When the folks around you—especially anyone in your immediate family—chop and change their mind, fear not. This is just one of those weeks. The storm will pass, and their indecision or crisis of conscience will, too. But for now, your place is here, holding down the fort as only a Cap can do.
AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING
When was the last time you updated your OS? Now that we’re in that funny, liminal space between eclipses, keeping your head down and focusing on the humdrum bits and pieces of how stuff works could help you maintain (the illusion of) control. You’re a moving target for technological glitches RN (two retrogrades in the communications sphere of your chart will do that), so if ever there was a time to measure twice and cut once, this is it. Save, backup, double check and leave nothing to chance. No one ever regrets playing it safe when it comes to data.
PISCES AND PISCES RISING
On again? Off again? Coming? Going? Who knows what’s going on. If you’re wondering what the score is, do yourself a favour and stop trying to figure it out. This week’s weather is definitely not for answers, conclusions or resolutions. It’s also not very sticky, so what seems to be unequivocal on Wednesday could be done by Sunday. It’s a topsy-turvy wonderland. Terrible for making plans, but excellent for making stuff. Get lost in your imagination. Paint, sing, dance, swim—whatever it is that makes you feel connected to something bigger—go do that. And while you’re at it, feel free to (gently) share some of the amazing Piscean detachment with the people around you. Chances are they could all use a little bit more of that right now.
