Watchlist: 10 Best Movies & TV Shows To Catch In March

March has it all for our entertainment desires. Bask in romantic feels with When Life Gives You Tangerines and laugh the pain away with Seth Rogen’s The Studio. With Ramadan coming up, there are fewer reasons to be out and about—which means more time for screen time. Keep reading for the full list of must-watch picks this month.  

When Life Gives You Tangerines

Premieres 7th March on Netflix

Set against the backdrop of Jeju in the 1950s and modern-day Seoul in 2025, the series follows the love story of Ae-Sun and Gwan-Sik. Ae-Sun is fiery and determined, dreaming of becoming a poet, while Gwan-Sik is steady and reliable—but he turns into a bit of a mess whenever he’s around her. Together, they navigate the highs and lows of life, from childhood to adulthood, showing that true love can stand the test of time. Watch as Ae-Sun evolves from a young dreamer into a bold rebel, all while her relationship with Gwan-Sik grows and changes. It’s got all the heart, romance, and comedy you’d expect from a K-drama.

The Electric State

Premieres 14th March on Netflix

In a dystopian 1990s, a brutal war between humans and robots has torn the world apart, leaving everything scarred and split. The robots have been cast out to a wasteland, bringing a fragile peace—but it’s not going to last. Millie Bobby Brown stars as Michelle, an orphan on a quest to find her missing brother. She teams up with a sweet yet mysterious robot on her journey West. Along the way, they cross paths with an eccentric smuggler who she reluctantly allows to join her mission. As they make their way through the dangerous terrain, they must avoid monstrous drones—one of which is hunting Michelle’s robot companion.

Adolescence

Premieres 14th March on Netflix

What would you do if your teenage son was accused of murder? That’s one of the biggest questions of the new crime drama Adolescence. A family’s life is turned upside down when their 13-year-old son is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl. Tensions and questions are raised throughout this limited series. Who is actually responsible? Why did it happen? Could it have been prevented? An interesting fact about the show is that each episode is filmed in one take— adding intensity and giving viewers an immersive, edge-of-your-seat experience.

The Residence

Premieres 20th March on Netflix

132 rooms. 157 suspects. One dead body. One eccentric detective. The Residence is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous mansion. Detective Cordelia Cupp is determined to find the murderer who left a dead body on the third floor of the White House, but with political drama, lies, and tensions running high, it won’t be an easy feat. It’s a fast-paced, hilarious mystery with a twist that’ll keep you guessing.

O’dessa

Premieres 20th March on Disney Hotstar

Another Stranger Things cast starring in a post-apocalyptic world but with a musical twist—Sadie Sink plays a farm girl determined to recover a precious family heirloom. Her journey takes her to a cyberpunk-esque ruled by the powerful influence of a sadistic entertainment mogul. There, she meets her true love, but to protect her soul, she must confront fate and the power of music. Sadie’s vocals shine in this film, showing she’s not just an actor, but a complete performer.

The Studio

Premieres 26th March on Apple TV+

Seth Rogen stars as the newly minted head of Continental Studios, trying to balance his dream job with the chaos that comes with it. Desperate for celebrity approval, he and his team juggle corporate pressure and creative ambition while fighting to keep movies fresh and relevant. It’s everything he’s ever wanted—until it might just destroy him. The show gives a peek into the high-stakes world of big studio executives, packed with stressful yet hilarious moments. Plus, there are guest appearances from big Hollywood names like Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and Zac Efron—playing alternate versions of themselves.

The Leopard

Premieres 5th March on Netflix

Based on the most important novels in Italian literature, The Leopard is set against the backdrop of a revolution in 1860s Sicily. It follows the Prince of Salina, who leads a life surrounded by beauty and privilege. But as Italy moves toward unification and the aristocracy starts to crumble, his family’s future is at risk. He’s forced to make tough choices, and with each new alliance, his principles are put to the test.

Eventually, he is faced with an impossible choice. He has the power to arrange a marriage between the rich and beautiful Angelica and his nephew Tancredi––that could secure his family’s legacy, but in doing so, he would break his daughter, Concetta’s, heart.

Sing Sing

Premieres 21st March on Max

Divine G is wrongfully imprisoned at the Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He finds purpose when he joins a theatre art program with other incarcerated men. Prison is a cold, cruel place full of violent men, the program is sort of like an oasis for them to be ‘human’ again. When an outsider joins the group, the men decide to stage their first original comedy. 

What’s unique about this film is that it’s based on the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing, most of the cast are actually formerly incarcerated men who were themselves alumni of the program.

Premieres 6th March on Prime

Here’s a rom-com if you need one. Single and without a man on the horizon, Pia runs a failing photography studio in London with her best friend. Her mother and sister are constantly urging her to find a partner. She meets a spiritual guru at her sister’s engagement party who predicts that she will meet the love of her life in her next five dates. But her plans are deterred when her first love reappears—causing both her love and professional life into chaos.
