They offer both, with the former downstairs from 5PM onwards and the latter upstairs from 7PM onwards. Their DJ sets are on a healthy rotation, so you never run out of variety to dance to.

Brought to you by the owners of the award-winning Junglebird, Humboldt breaks new ground with its South American influences. Its name is derived from the Humboldt Current that flows north along the western coast of South America, indirectly influencing the coastline, shaping the seasons, and thus the cuisine in the region. It’s a large space, accommodating up to 65 people plus eight more in a private room. Naturally, you must order the Pisco Sour when you make your way there, but worth mentioning is the Chilcano cocktail that comprises three types of ginger, as well as the Melon Con Vino, a melony take on the spirit-forward martini.

@21 Rooftop Bar
Fresh off their opening, Hyatt Centric KL welcomes guests to its rooftop bar, perched on the 21st floor. Its name? @21 Rooftop Bar. Its repertoire of cocktails includes elements of local flavours and ingredients, such as the iconic pandan.

Feeling swanky? Head on to Goldbar KL, a King Midas-approved establishment that has the wow factor of a thousand gilty pleasures. It’s the perfect place to have both dinner and drinks in a sumptuous and sophisticated setting, but if it’s just drinks you’re after, the cocktail programme is quite impressive as well. Their signatures include The Lemon Whisper, Golden Ember, Berry Royale, and Kyoto Heat—all stunners that promise delightful sips.

Sun San Reserve
If you’ve been starting your day with coffee and pastries at SunSan Bake, it’s time to return when the sun sets to SunSan Reserve, the new cocktail bar that’s located in the floor above the cafe. With only 15 seats, this bar is cosy and definitely warrants a reservation before casually strolling in. Their cocktail programme is an interesting one, featuring liquors sous-vided in various fragrant woods like sandalwood, agarwood, and sappanwood. It results in aromatic and smoky concoctions with layers of flavour—come here if you want to be wowed by expertise in craft cocktails.

Opening hours: 5.30PM – 11.30PM (Thursdays to Mondays). Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The Rebel Penguin of Whimzy Town
While not a new bar per se, we will be parking this under our list as they recently moved from KL to the Petaling Jaya suburbs, transitioning from Funky Town to Whimzy Town. Inside, the decor is most certainly whimzical, with psychedelic patterned rugs and neon lights reminiscent of the 70s and 80s. Do the cocktails reflect the same whimsy? Decidedly, yes. From Grand Theft Auto-inspired cocktails in skull glasses to the Outta This World drink that contains durian, your palate is in for a world of fun.
Address: 37A (First Floor), Jalan 20/16, Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Opening hours: 6PM – 12AM (Wednesdays and Thursdays), 6PM – 1AM (Fridays and Saturdays)
