The red carpet has a new beauty muse, and her name is Blue Ivy Carter.
While we always knew that the offspring of Beyoncé and Jay-Z would be a force to be reckoned with, the budding actress recently stepped out with her famous family and managed to shine just as bright. In Los Angeles, she arrived at the Mufasa: The Lion King premiere in a gilded strapless princess gown, the 12-year-old cemented herself as one to watch in the beauty space.
Boasting a refinement far beyond her years, Carter turned heads with a makeup look that channelled Old Hollywood with a youthful twist. Starting with a flawless complexion, she opted for a natural coral-toned blush. Though many would warn you to choose between a dramatic eye and lip choice, Carter proves that balance can be achieved with both. With a bronzed smokey eye and a healthy dose of black kohl liner with a sheer glossy lip, she demonstrated the timeless appeal of leaning into bold and audacious glamour.
Her hair was then styled simply in cascading micro-braids, which framed her face beautifully and brought a sense of effortless chic to the formal ensemble.
Much like her iconic mother, Carter is quickly becoming a red-carpet trendsetter, and we guess she’ll naturally follow suit as a beauty icon. Starring as Kiara, the daughter of Beyoncé’s character, Nala, in the live-action film—fresh from helping out her famous mother as a backup dancer throughout her Renaissance tour—this public debut will likely not be her last.
