Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been going from strength to strength over the last year, and fans are now speculating that the couple may be set to make it official following some suspicious social media activity.
As caught by an eagle-eyed fan earlier this week, the Only Murders In the Building star has started following CMG Events, fanning rumours she is indeed engaged to her music producer boyfriend. And who or what is CMG Events, you ask? Well, it’s a California-based wedding planning agency.
What makes this smoking gun even more damning? The recent mirror selfie Gomez posted to her Instagram Stories where she subtly—or unsubtly, depending on who you ask—covered her ring finger with a heart emoji. Naturally, the internet went into meltdown, taking it as (unofficial) confirmation that the couple are headed for the alter.
Though nothing is confirmed, it’s clear that the duo are serious about each other.
At her recent 32nd birthday celebrations, Gomez referred to the producer as the “love of my life”, while Blanco told Howard Stern that he envisions having a family with his girlfriend.
“When I look at her… I’m always just like, ‘I don’t know a world where it could be better than this’,” he told the interviewer. When Stern shared that he was predicting marriage was on the cards for the couple, Blanco agreed.
“You and me both,” he said.
So, while we patiently await the official announcement, it’s safe to say we’ll be keeping a close eye on Gomez’s Instagram. Luckily, our imaginations don’t have to stretch too far, as the actress has already teased her bridal style while filming an episode of Only Murders in the Building, where she donned a strapless lace and tulle wedding dress with classic accessories.
