Not long after hitting a cultural reset with her solo single “Rockstar”, Blackpink’s Lisa is once again making waves for her bold fashion choices—this time for her new music video, “New Woman”, featuring Rosalía.
The music video opens with Lisa looking every bit the boss in a sweeping black coat thrown over an embellished bra and matching micro-shorts. Styling her look with a metallic heart choker, the K-pop star struts around in a pair of knee-high leather boots—which look a lot like Louis Vuitton’s Patti boots that Lisa has previously worn.
Lisa’s all-black outfit made her long blonde hair stand out: she’s a “New Woman”, indeed. Throughout the music video, the Thai singer and rapper makes many more transformations. Lisa turns into a modern-day “Barbarella” as she sparkles in a metallic top and mini skirt with slits, both from New York fashion brand Retrofête. She completes her Space Age-inspired look with a pair of suede boots from Maison Margiela. Later, she channels a Motomami instead, sporting a biker jacket, a zipped corset and a leather mini-skirt. In another scene, Lisa’s style takes a theatrical turn and she is covered in black feathers.
Lisa eventually dials it back to the 2000s and shows off her dance moves in a quintessential Y2K-inspired outfit, comprising a blush pink corset top and low-rise cargo pants, with a white studded belt slung over her hips—Britney Spears would approve. The Rockstar also updates her look with a faux fur coat, giving her a Mob Wife fierceness.
Lisa’s collaborator Rosalía is no style slouch either. In the music video, the Spanish superstar’s outfits included a leather jacket with leopard print details, an Alaïa Fall/Winter 2024 pink bubble coat, and several standout sunglasses.
Rosalía also has her own Mob Wife moment when she wears a faux fur coat similar to Lisa’s—except hers came in her signature colour, red. She wears the bold colour throughout the video, later sporting a Versace Resort 2025 floral print dress with a safety pin, styled with matching tights. A closer look at Rosalía’s dress reveals other red motifs like strawberries and ladybugs.
In a psychedelic scene in the music video, Lisa and Rosalía also exude an ethereal aura in their sheer ensembles. Lisa’s midriff-baring outfit consists of a draped and hooded halter-neck top—reminiscent of Kylie Minogue’s iconic “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” look—as well as a flowing skirt held together by safety pins. Rosalía contrasts Lisa’s white outfit with a sheer black dress, and the two popstars recreate the yin-yang symbol as they lay side by side.
With all its stunning visuals, “New Woman” attests to Lisa’s abilities as a style chameleon. Throughout the music video, she dramatically changes her hair, makeup and outfits, nailing each new look effortlessly. Those fascinating transformations are a big part of her global appeal as a pop sensation—aside from her prowess as a performer, of course. With Lisa’s solo album on the horizon, fans can be sure of one thing: they will be seeing even more sides to their favourite star.
