Emma Corrin never misses a beat when it comes to their red carpet outfits. But at the latest stop on the Deadpool & Wolverine press tour, the actor has turned heads for another reason. Sure, going pantsless in a custom-made Nina Ricci bodysuit was a traffic-stopper, but it was Corrin’s take on ‘Villain’ glamour that really had us tempted to the dark side.

The 28-year-old’s makeup channelled Old Hollywood with an art-deco flair. Leaving Corrin’s faultless skin to shine through, makeup artist Gina Kane opted for a sheer dewy base and natural brows to let the rest of the look shine. Their eyes were rendered in a soft, deep taupe smokey eye that was slathered in gloss, while lips were painted with an ultra-matte crimson.

Keeping with the vintage glamour, Corrin’s jet-black pixie crop was parted to the side, with their bangs smoothed down for a wet-look-effect by celebrity hair stylist Daniel Martin.

Though we’re used to double-takes when it comes to Corrin due to their unwavering style, they typically save the peacocking for their camp outfits, keeping their makeup on the more natural side. But with a new role comes an opportunity for method dressing—and this extends to glam, too, of course.

In the upcoming third instalment of the Deadpool trilogy, The Crown alum portrays telekinetic mutant Cassandra Nova—the twin sister of Charles Xavier for those familiar with the Marvel cinematic universe. While Nova’s look consists of a simple coordinating tan set and a shaved head, we’ll happily lap up Corrin’s sultry interpretation of villain glamour.
