While the world has watched the grandiose spectacle of the union between Prince Mateen and the now Princess Anisha, curiosity has sparked as to who is the new wife of the Brunei royal. With that, GRAZIA provides you with the much-needed insights of the new princess.
WHO IS ANISHA ROSNAH?
Born in 1994, Anisha Rosnah binti Adam is the granddaughter of Pehin Dato Isa, special advisor to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and founding chairman of Royal Brunei Airlines. This meant that she grew up being close with all the royals, including her now husband, Prince Mateen. This perhaps was the wonderful beginning of their love story. While sharing the highlights of his ultra-luxe wedding, Prince Mateen sneaked in a picture of the duo while they were still toddlers, reminiscing on the years of shared history between the two.
Anisha Rosnah holds a degree from the University of Bath in the UK and soon after graduating began dabbling with entrepreneurship. She now successfully runs her fashion brand, Silk Collective, a brand that specialises in garments made of silk, noticeably it is also a material that Bruneians often incorporate in their traditional wear. She is also the co-founder of an experiential tourism company, Authentirary along with her friend. It’s no wonder that her hard work and calm demeanour had the prince enamoured along with their lengthy past.
The two lovebirds celebrated their love and union in a 10-day festivities, that commenced on January 7 and lasted until January 16, 2024. Having gained the title of royalty, we anticipate witnessing to see more of the new princess soon in royal events and engagements.
