Brunei’s most eligible former bachelor, Prince Abdul Mateen is officially a married man.
To start off 2024, the entire country has been celebrating the royal union between Prince Mateen and his royal bride Anisha Rosnah binti Adam over the past 10 days from January 7 to January 16, 2024. The wedding saw the likes of many notable guests from all across the globe. To name a few, royals from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were present for the celebratory events.
And, given the lengthy royal celebrations, it’s safe to say opulence and regality were at the forefront. This was particularly true for the bride’s royal outfits.

KHATAM QUR’AN CEREMONY
The soon-to-be bride looked as radiant as ever as she flashed her pearly white smile while engaging in pre-wedding traditions. Anisha wore a stunning all-white Baju Kurung for the Khatam Qur’an ceremony which entails reading the entire book of the Holy Qur’an and absorbing the sacred literature ahead of the wedding. Her look featured intricate lace embroidery at the hems and a matching white Hijab from the Malaysian designer Teh Firdaus.
MAJLIS ISTIADAT BERBEDAK CEREMONY
Anisha’s look for this ceremony had everyone stunned. The Majlis Istiadat Berbedak is a ceremony that invites the friends and family of the bride and groom to bless the bride and groom. It includes applying traditional scented oil over the palms as a means of blessing the couple. Anisha’s traditional attire undoubtedly had everyone in awe. She walked into the ceremony wearing an all-red ensemble, with a veil covering her face. As the ceremony progressed the bride unveiled her stunning gold traditional headpiece with flowers adorning it. Anisha Rosnah wore a striking silk attire in red and had gold and pleat detailing across.
For the same ceremony, Anisha later wore another all-white outfit with intricate lacework from the designer Teh Firdaus, minimal jewellery and a matching white veil. The soon-to-be royal sported a slicked side part to complete her look.
THE WEDDING
The newlyweds looked regal as they headed off for the post-wedding parade. Prince Mateen wore a white and gold ceremonial uniform whilst his new bride looked every bit of beautiful in a white full-sleeved wedding gown. Continuing to stun us with her extravagant looks, the bride accessorized the gown with some statement jewellery pieces. She wore a diamond tiara, which was previously worn by Prince Mateen’s sister, Princess Azemah, over her dramatic embroidered veil. To match her tiara, she added diamond earrings and a necklace which featured an astonishing pendant.
THE RECEPTION
The pair looked radiant as ever as they walked hand in hand into their reception party. The prince donned a ceremonial uniform in black and gold that featured his many achievements in the form of medals and his wife walked alongside in a breathtaking off-white gown, with glittering sequins sewn all over. The new bride wore a captivating diamond tiara, to mark her newly received royal stature, over a lengthy tulle veil. To match her tiara she added pristine diamond studded ornaments that complimented her look well. She wore an exquisite statement necklace that featured a large pear-shaped diamond pendant and a pair of large diamond drop earrings.
