There’s nothing quite like the rush of attending a great show. The adrenaline, the energetic crowd, the hair-raising good sound quality. And with the lull of the year’s beginning behind us, we thought, why not give the girlies what they deserve: a comprehensive round-up of the most explosive concerts in KL in 2024.
Whether you’re a pro attendee or a casual concert-goer, this list has all the shows and concerts in KL that are well worth the price tag. This year, we’re looking at both local talents as well as international stars. To top if off, we’re also including more than just concerts; there will also be symphonies, comedy shows, and more in this collection. Be sure to save this page, as we’re always updating the list with even more shows as they are announced.
Just be sure to plan strategically (i.e. book your leaves, filter out important dates like anniversaries and birthdays), and you should be good to go to live out your best life at these events.
Every Important Live Show and Concerts in KL to Attend in 2024
Ella: Puteri Kota
This record-breaking concert is, hands down, one of the biggest landmark events of the year. Not only did this Malaysian rock queen break local records (by selling 10,000 tickets in 24 hours), but she also broke records for the Singaporean leg of this tour. Now, the “Standing in the Eyes of the World” crooner is bringing her pizzazz to our Bornean counterparts, and if you’ve missed out on her Kuala Lumpur and Penang shows, this might just be your last chance to catch the concert.

The Rose: Dawn to Dusk Asia Tour
After their two-month-long tour in the USA and Canada for the Heal Together Tour, the South Korean quartet, The Rose, is expanding its reach globally. They are, in fact, one of the first South Korean acts to perform in Malaysia in 2024. At the Dawn to Dusk Tour, you can expect songs like “She’s in the Rain”, “I.L.Y.”, and “Back to Me” to be a part of their setlist.
For the real Black Roses out there, you can have first dibs by purchasing your tickets via The Rosarium app from 6 January 2024, 10 am onwards.

Cirque de la Symphonie
Need to pull out all the stops? Then why not take a trip down to the orchestra and watch a spectacular showcase of acrobatics, accompanied by classical masterpieces? At the Cirque de la Symphonie, you’ll get to witness not only musical wonder, but also the sheer (almost otherworldly) talents of aerialists, contortionists, and more.

Aaron Kwok: Amazing Starry Tour Live in Malaysia
Last year, Aaron Kwok has sold out three shows. The dance-pop singer and dancer from Hong Kong will be returning to please the crowd again, but this time, he’ll be adding another day so that more of his fans can revel in the musical feast. Even if you’re not proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese, his showstopping moves will still be worth the trip to Genting Highlands. After all, he is Hong Kong’s god of dance.

F.T. Island: Hey Day Tour
After a five-year-long wait, South Korean rock band F.T. Island is finally making their return to the Malaysian stage this year. Known for successful hits such as “Love Sick”, “Until You Come Back”, and “Love Love Love,” you can keep your fingers crossed for the trio (Lee Hong Gi, Lee Jae Jin, and Choi Min Hwan) to come up with new anthems because there’s still a chance.

Ed Sheeran: The Mathematics Tour
If you know Ed Sheeran for hits like “Shape of You” and “Bad Habits”, then you’re doing yourself a disservice, because the English singer-songwriter is infinitely more than that. His concerts are where you get to see him in his element, as he works with loop stations to arrange his songs right before your very eyes. It’s a nifty feat that you’ll have to see with your own eyes to truly appreciate.
The concert itself will be opened by a fellow English singer-songwriter Callum Scott, and will feature deep cuts like “Bloodstream” and “Galway Girl” which can show off more of his musical prowess—he’ll be rapping in one of those.
Date: 24 February 2024

Supalapa Festival
There will be plenty of firsts at the Supalapa Festival, including the ability to remain overnight on the grounds. If you’re a proud Malaysian, then you’re going to want to make the pilgrimage to Genting Highlands. Certified national treasure Yuna, Talitha., and Jovynn will be making an appearance. To top that already-incredible list off, Ali Gatie, Australia’s Tones and I, as well as Grammy-nominated DJ Paul van Dyk will also be a part of the show.

SUM 41: Tour of the Setting Sum
If there’s one show you shouldn’t miss, it’s obviously SUM 41’s final concert before they disband after a strong 27 years together. Famous for their hits such as “Pieces”, “With Me”, “In Too Deep”, and more, the fivesome will be rocking the stage one last time, celebrating the release of their latest drop, Heaven :x: Hell. They’ll take their last bow on stage on 30 January 2025, with the ultimate farewell staged in their home country, Canada.
Date: 5 March 2024
Location: Mega Star Arena Kuala Lumpur

Siti Nurhaliza: Sebuah Epitome Saya
Speaking of national treasures, here’s another one. Just last year, Siti Nurhaliza stunned the audience at an A.R. Rahman show in Kuala Lumpur—and that was just from a surprise performance. Now, she’ll be holding a solo concert, and we bet the Sitizoners are well pleased. And though she won’t be shattering her record of 70,000 attendees at a Malaysian concert (a record which she held for 19 years, before Coldplay brought the number up to 75,000), we bet that it’s going to leave a mark in other ways, and will be one of the best concerts in KL in 2024.
Date: 9 March 2024
Location: Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil

Boys Like Girls: Spring Tour 2024
Aren’t we all “Love Drunk” for Boys Like Girls? Early in the year, the American rock band announced the Asian leg of their Spring Tour 2024, and guess what? Malaysia scored two dates. One in Kuala Lumpur, and the other in Kota Kinabalu (22 April 2024). Catch the quartet as they dole out some of their classic crowd favourites, as well as newer tunes from their album Sunday at Foxwoods.

Incubus: Live in Malaysia
It looks like we made the cut after all. American rock band Incubus will be stopping by Malaysia for its Asia tour, and if you’ve been wanting to scream your heart out, then this is the concert to attend. While we may not yet know of the confirmed set list, you can almost count on sonic success such as “Wish You Were Here”, “Nice to Know You”, and “Anna Molly” to be a part of the show.

Swan Lake in Kuala Lumpur
There’s nothing quite like a classic, and nothing says quintessential like Swan Lake. And it’s not just another rendition of the ballet.—this one will feature former Mariinsky Theatre soloists. With a history of over 5,000 smashing concerts worldwide, and having wowed over 50 countries, this show promises to be an unmissable one. They include original decorations, ornate costumes, as well as spine-tingling music that will leave you wanting more.
