The breathtaking Hatten City skyline welcomes a brand new rooftop dining establishment, FLNT Melaka. As the only Japanese and Peruvian fusion (also known as Nikkei) restaurant in the city, this latest eatery is now located at Melaka’s iconic rooftop haven, 1-Altitude Melaka. Boasting a 360-degree view of the city, local Nikkei food lovers are able to enjoy their favourites while sitting amongst the clouds.
This vibrantly modern Japanese-Peruvian Sumiyaki restaurant has an open kitchen concept and its very own Binchotan-fueled Sumiyaki grills. The Head Chef at FLNT, Chef Lamley Chua, is a master of his craft with almost two decades of experience in Japanese cuisine under his belt. “At FLNT, it’s more than just tantalising dishes; it’s about the surprise in every bite,” Chef Lamley iterates.
The Showstoppers
If you’re wondering what FLNT Melaka has to offer, here’s a rundown of their specialities. The main star of this Sumiyaki Binchotan Grill restaurant is their zesty Ceviche De Pulpo featuring succulent octopus marinated in Leche de Tigre or “Tiger’s Milk”. Its co-star is none other than FLNT’s Peruvian Anticucho Chicken, grilled to perfection over their very own binchotan coals. The coal-charred Japanese Miyazaki A4 Sirloin is another must-try, perfectly paired with Black Garlic Sauce and Yuzu Koshu.
Sashimi lovers, bask in Chef Lamley’s capable hands as he is a sushi and sashimi specialist. Their daily selection of assorted sashimi is made with ingredients imported straight from Japan for that extra dose of authenticity. A meal is never complete without dessert, namely FLNT’s signature Banana Semi-Freddo with Banana Ice Parfait and Kinako Crumble topping—a sweet and crunchy lip-smacking delight.
